I liked how it had a guy point out that Ritalin was invented by the Swiss, but the Swiss refuse to use it on their kids. Also great to see John Taylor Gatto in this.
But the whole message was, "America's school system sucks." OK fine, but there must be schools in the world, if not in America, that are actually great - why not show them and tell us the differences in how they are run?
Ultimately all this film did was show lots of people talking about problems, but there was no exploration of possible solutions.
For example, it showed Pat Farenga, who wrote a book about homeschooling, but there was nothing in the film about homeschooling, it just had Farenga criticizing schools.
I hope that Waiting for Superman is able to offer possible solutions to the problems of education. This film certainly didn't.

Come by to Jack Saturday once a week for some bracing anti-wage-slavery quotations, it'll be nice to have you over to the place. I'll be including some of the wake of my personal journey through freedom from the job in this third emancipatory phase of history, the phase of liberation of wage-slaves through a Guaranteed Livable Income.

Come to Extraordinary Discourse for my podcast, wider ranging. It would be a joy to spend an hour a week with you.

Overall I found War on Kids to be disappinting.
